Aerosols, Powders & Gases

The inExpose is suitable for inhalation exposure studies using a wide range of aerosolized liquids, solutions, suspensions and powders as well as vapours and gases.

Nebulizer Integration

  • The Aeroneb, a state-of-the-art ultrasonic nebulizer that is one of the main components of our line of aerosol products, can be integrated into the inExpose system in close proximity to the exposure subsystems in order to minimize losses in conduits.
  • The inExpose and its flexiWare control software also permit accurate nebulization rate control for each individual Aeroneb. Up to four Aeronebs can be used with each inExpose base unit.
  • Together with the low-volume construction of the inExpose exposure systems, these features ensures highly efficient use of precious, costly compounds and minimal waste.
  • For applications where the Aeroneb is not suitable, pressure-driven nebulizers can readily be integrated and controlled via inExpose and flexiWare.

Dry Powder & Dust

  • For applications that require exposure to dust and dry powders, we are happy to provide and integrate third party dust generators with your inExpose system. Depending on the nature of the powder, different types of dust feeders may be employed.
  • The inExpose nose-only towers are particularly well suited for dust and powder applications because of their strictly vertical exposure channels. This construction avoids angles and corners commonly found in other designs and hence substantially reduces powder depositions in the tower conduits.

Vapours & Gases

  • The inExpose can readily be used to mix and expose subjects to most non-corrosive gases. Third party humidifiers and vapourizers can be integrated with the inExpose system and controlled via its digital ports.
  • Corrosive gases such as Chlorine, Ozone or Nitrogen Dioxide pose specific material requirements and cannot be used with the standard versions of the inExpose system. Custom versions of wettable components made from stainless steel and other compatible materials can be provided for these applications.
  • The application specialists of our Customer Service department will be happy to assist you with recommendations for your specific application.
